עובר אליבא דכולא עלמא
For a Lubavitcher, the פוסק אחרון on [trimming beards] is the צמח צדק, who holds that even trimming one's beard is an איסור דאורייתא.(I once suggested to a friend who trims his beard that it might be less of a חוצפה for him to use a real razor blade and be עובר אליבא דכולא עלמא and thus avoid singling out the צמח צדק with such disregard.)

I hope that the real Berl will eventually find this forum too compelling to avoid.
For the record, I agree with Berl about 50% and vehemently disagree about 20%. However, he is not what I would call "hateful" and I am confident that when he writes, it is from a place of conviction, not of hate. His positions are usually well thought out and rational.
I do sense some hate around somewhere though.

I once told someone if you are going to be meshaneh the matbaya shetav'u chachamim in bentching don't add Melech hamo.... toharachaman. That's the only part of bentchen that our Rebbe wrote! Say Yechi in birkas hazun - the part that Moshe Rabeinu wrote....
